Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, Dr. Sophie Rochon grew up playing sports. Her athletic successes combined with a deep-rooted passion for healthy living is what led her to complete three years of honors in the bachelors of Physical Education and Health program at Laurentian University, and subsequently to continue her studies at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario.
Dr. Rochon moved to Edmonton, Alberta upon graduation, where she began her chiropractic career in 2012. She was a treating chiropractor at Oxford Physical Wellness, a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation clinic, as well as a Medical Assessor-Medical Reviewer for an industry leading occupational testing company. It is during this time that she also obtained her acupuncture training through Acupuncture Canada and enjoyed playing competitive soccer, volleyball and ball hockey.
After 5 years, Dr. Rochon moved back to Ontario, closer to family and friends, where she is happily treating in the city of Ottawa. Dr. Rochon is fluent in French, is a member in good standing of the Ontario College and Association of Chiropractors, as well as the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
Locally, Dr. Rochon is a member of the Ottawa Board of Trade, the Ottawa Women's Business Network and is a therapist for the Ontario Player's Development League (OPDL) and team chiropractor for the Mavericks Women's hockey team.
During her spare time, she enjoys cooking, playing sports, completing home renos and spending time with her family which include her two fox red laborador retrievers, Ollie and Remi.
